GPS for Grid Squares

Maidenhead Grid Locators are a compact notation to identify any place on the planet. Four characters is an area about 100 miles on a side, 'CN87'. Six characters narrow it down to about 4 miles on a side, 'CN87us'.

Ham radio operators use grid names to identify distances and directions. Carry this in your car or backpack to always know where you are. Grids are easy to handle with Griduino!
